Sarigerme is a small village on the south-west Mediterranean coast of Turkey in Ortaca District of Muğla. In ancient times the city of Pisilis was located here, a small port city whose remains have been partially excavated and can be visited.
Today it is home to 320 households, has an extensive sandy beach and, with the offshore island of Baba Adasi, is a popular holiday area. This development began with the opening of the Iberotel Sarigerme Park in 1990. In the years that followed, many domestic and foreign investors saw great potential in this area, so that it was quickly expanded into a luxurious holiday resort.
Sarigerme is now home to a large number of four- and five-star hotels and is considered one of the most important holiday villages in the whole country.
